Ham Radio operator-explains Modern-Art.   Modern Art started with the Industrial Revolution, a period in time when rapid changes were made in manufacturing techniques, transportation and the discovery of new technology it all started around the mid 18th century continuing well into the 19th century, many believe it is still evolving.


Modern Art refected the huge change in social behavior of people, their economic position played a big part, many more people were buying modern items for their homes and workplace. These changes happened throughout Europe North America, it continued to develop and eventually, it touched every part of the world.


New forms of transport including rail travel had a profound effect on people's lives, they were now able to travel for please work and of course business. Subways were the canvas of many modern artists adorning their walls with new and very interesting types of art.


People in their thousands settled and established new towns which rapidly grew into cities many more arrived to develop and grow new companies and technologies.


Once the possession of the rich and famous paintings and portraits can now be enjoyed and above all owned by many, prior to the 19th century only those very wealthy individuals had the buying power to commission an artist.


During the beginning of the 19th-century artists began to experiment with their own ideas and experiences they were free to develop art which they chose.


To create and publish works like my own interpretation of Royalty would in my opinion not happened if Modern-Art hadn't have developed at the speed it did, it now touches every corner of the globe and has many participants some are very controversial but nevertheless, they expand the boundaries of modern art.
