Ham Radio operator-Heathrow-aviation photography.  Thank you for your comments on my previous post about aviation art and photography, your comments are always welcome and to address your questions-John do you have some more pictures of jet aircraft the answer is yes-see below.

I class art ie portrait painting and photography as one of the same-they just engage different methods to capture a moment in time-one uses a brush and paint the other a sensor.

Essentially I like to paint portraits in oil on canvas but I am always looking for new subjects and aviation art is very popular. These big jets were captured at Heathrow Airport in London-heading off to destinations around the world.

This link will take you to the best places for Heathrow Plane Spotting.

I,m always looking for new subjects to turn into a painting-my camera is always with me and I look for pictures that could lend themselves to creating an oil painting-including these aircraft at Heathrow Airport.

I mainly concentrate on portraits in oil on linen canvas, however, I am available for commissioned work and will consider any type of painting, all you need to do is drop me a line on my contact form-please continue to write and comment about my artwork and blog posts, they keep me writing about art and photography-Thank you!

Ham Radio-great portable location  Thank you for writing and commenting on my blog and artwork, many have asked to see other places near to my home town of Washington especially coastal places that are classed as outstandingly beautiful and would lend themselves to seascape painting.

St Marys Island is a great place to sketch and paint, you may be lucky and see some of Northumberlands wildlife-seals congregate near St Marys Island, for the bird watcher there are many types of birds near-by including puffins. You may see a seal pup.

I paint portraits, mainly on linen canvas-however if you would like a painting of a famous part of your area including seascapes or landscapes-please get in touch with me-I will paint most subjects-all of my work is created in oil on canvas-Thank you for reading and please continue to write and comment about my work-photographs and-oil portraits.

St Marys Island is an excellent place to work portable ham radio, the salty sea comes very near to three sides of the car park, working QRP on twenty-meters and seventeen-meters with a simple quarter-wave aerial, great DX can be worked. I used a roof-mounted quarter wave on the car with four radials hanging down each side of the car, I always have a common mode choke fitted to the coax.
